Our "Summerlicious" June Menu!

Ahhh, the heady days of summer! Sun, fun, picnics, parks, the
beach... who wants to think about grocery shopping, messing up
the kitchen and making a nearly endless effort to get dinner on
the table, every night?

That's where we come in. You can struggle with dinner issues
every day this summer trying to figure out what to have, shop
and then get dinner ready, or you can think about it once, come
to our kitchen, put 12 or more dinners together in less than
two hours and we'll do the shopping, chopping and cleanup!
Going camping, to the amusement parks or staying in the
mountains? Take Dream Dinners along and save some
money over what you'll spend eating out. Use that money to
have more fun! Ready to see what's on the menu this month?
Take a look at these great dinner choices, then click the link
below to order your choices.

Life's too short and ya gotta eat...eat well!

complement the boldness of our Ancho chili rub.

MEXICAN MEATBALLS
All the fun and flavor of tacos or burritos are rolled up into the shape
of meatballs. Your kids will love these! Lean ground beef is mixed
with rice, sweet corn and taco seasoning then baked in our salsa-spiked

country flavor. Simply shake with breadcrumbs and bake to golden
perfection. Serve with our savory rice pilaf (provided).

This traditional Japanese favorite starts with lean strips of chicken
breast quickly stir-fried, then simmered in a velvety sauce infused
with white wine, soy sauce, sesame oil and a touch of ginger and

hot rice (provided). This is a great “kid friendly” favorite from

and herbs, and grilled to a golden brown.

ITALIAN STUFFED SHELLS
Our pasta shells are generously stuffed with an Italian cheese blend,
covered with marinara sauce and a touch of Alfredo sauce, then drizzled
with basil pesto. Just bake and watch them disappear.

CHICKEN WITH SESAME HONEY BUTTER
Back by popular demand! These tender all natural chicken breasts are
marinated with a sweet sesame, ginger, garlic blend for a punch of flavor
then grilled and topped with our Sesame-Honey Butter to create a meal
bursting with flavor.

CHICKEN PAELLA
This savory chicken and rice Dream Dinner is our version of the Spanish
classic. It combines slices of grilled chicken breast and mildly seasoned
sausage in a garlicky, lemon scented yellow rice with sweet red peppers,
onions, artichokes and tomatoes.**

STEAK WITH GARLIC & HERB BUTTER
This dinner is definitely a cut above! Individual steaks to grill or oven
broil, served slathered with our incredible garlic & herb butter. Don’t
miss it! Fully assembled and ready to go.

TUSCAN TURKEY MEDALLIONS

wrapped with bacon. Rubbed at home with a savory pesto of sundried
tomatoes, rosemary and balsamic vinegar; they are moist and delicious.

It's Getting Wild Out There... Have You Tried Dream Dinners?

Okay, gas has finally hit $4.00 a gallon. Does your wallet need a break? Dream Dinners has had an extremely good deal available since we opened in March of last year, our Introductory Offer. If you or a friend, co-worker or family member has ever been curious about Dream Dinners, please don't miss this offer. Back To The Real World

Food costs have risen, we've been hit with fuel surcharges for food deliveries, you name it, it's gone up! SCREEECHH!!!! Time for a reality check. Since we can't control everything, we have come to the conclusion that as much as we love you, we can't just give away the store...so, for now, the "rock bottom" sale is over. Now, don't get alarmed. We will still have special offers, give aways etc., but we have to cool it a little. Check out our May menu. We offer ever-delicious dinners that are geared more and more to warmer weather. Our values save our guests, on average, $188 or more each month on their grocery bills. Also, don't forget that you will receive an automatic $30.00 volume reward (that's a discount!) for purchasing 12 dinners that each feed six, (72 servings). We will continue to offer free dinner assembly. If this is a service you need, it's there. When ordering, simply note your preference in the Special Instructions part of your order form.

Alas, the real world encroaches...but Dream Dinners is still a fabulous value-packed way to spend some of your food dollars. We know you will agree. Check out our May menu to see what's cookin' this month.

Low Prices and Free Assembly?

This offer is no longer available!

Sometimes, life gets crazy with all we have to do and things have gotten out of hand lately at the grocery store, wouldn't you agree? Have you priced milk lately? Chicken? Gas, to buy the darn things? What are we to do? Well, if you are like the rest of us, you are short on time and lately, shorter on cash, not to mention patience. You want what you want and you want it fast. Well, we heard you. After perusing the results of our latest survey, we are introducing package pricing that should take some of the calculation time out of choosing among our dinners. At our store, you can choose from packages to suit your needs. Our original a la carte menu is absolutely still available on dreamdinners.com but if you would like to order our packages, here's the lowdown:

12 dinners, each serving 6 (72 servings)- $239.00
Each additional dinner $19.86

6 dinners, each serving 6 (36 servings)- $135.00
Each additional dinner $22.50

3 dinners, each serving 6 (18 servings)- $73.00
Each additional dinner $24.33

12 dinners, each serving 3 (36 servings)- $135.00
Each additional dinner $11.25

6 dinners, each serving 3 (18 servings)- $73.00
Each additional dinner $12.16

This pricing is available for a limited time and you must request "package pricing" to receive the special pricing. Please remember that if you are generally choosing 3-serving dinners, 6-serving only dinners count as two dinners. You may mix and match between 3- and 6- serving dinners. Each additional dinner outside the package price is calculated at the package rate. Please choose only one of each dinner per order. Choosing multiples of more expensive dinners will result in a higher price. These package prices cannot be combined with any other discounts.

Our session calendar is available to help you find a time to come in and assemble your meals. To help you out even further, should you find you don't have time and you need assembly, it's included in our pricing for a limited time.

Now, the only other thing you need to do is register on our site at dreamdinners.com if you have not already done so. There. Is that simple? We live to please you, so give us a call at (904) 886-3123. Package pricing saves you about 15% or more off a la carte and assembly is included. It just can't get any easier.

April's Non-Taxing Menu!

Well, for some of us anyway. I know some procrastinators who have sent in extensions to file. Actually, that would be me. I'll get it done...one day.

Let's talk about something else. What's for dinner at your house tonight? Uh-oh...does that question make your palms moist? Well, you don't have to sweat it. Honestly, we have 17 different dinner items on the menu and surely you can find a lovely selection of goodies to eat. You can change that question to "What would you like for dinner?" There, isn't that better? Palms cooling down? Check out April's dishes and make a few selections. That's a picture of the Chicken Mirabella and it is absolutely delicious. Dinner couldn't be easier.

Red Hat Society

Ever heard of them? The Red Hat Society, begun in 1997 by Sue Ellen Cooper, was inspired by the poem "Warning," by Jenny Joseph and begins with the following two lines:

"When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat that doesn't go and doesn't suit me."

Members of the society are of "a certain age" with one aim: to have fun. Well, I can promise you that the ladies in this group are a lively bunch! Saturday, our store was graced by the presence of the ladies from the Red Hat Regals of Orange Park. Donning their own purple aprons to make their dinners and uhh, red hats, our ladies got down to work creating dinners to take home. Our thanks go out to Barbara Stewart and the ladies for bringing a little red and purple joy to our store!

What You Missed

Wow. What a wonderful night we had here at Dream Dinners last Friday night! With entertainment from talented performers with the Jacksonville Consortium of African American Artists (JCAAA) that included "The Prodigal Son" from the works of James Weldon Johnson and a vocal rendition of Paul Robeson's "Old Man River" from "Showboat," we felt we were in the theater! Everyone had a marvelous time and the food (if we do say so ourselves) was great! We thank everyone for the great turn out and because this was so successful, we are thinking of planning another event soon. Kudos to Roxanne Hilbert and Gene Holloman for your excellent performances. You were great!

Welcome Riverside Presbyterian Day School!

Dream Dinners had a great time with the 6th graders at Riverside Presbyterian Day School. In association with Trac 3D Fitness and Smoothie King, we put on a presentation teaching the kids about nutrition and fitness. These kids are really sharp! Polite and well-mannered, it turns out their parents and their teachers, on the whole, are really doing a great job training their children to eat wholesome and healthy meals. After examining the food pyramid and portion sizes along with healthy ways to boost the nutrition in any meal they eat, the kids were treated to delicious, low-fat samples of Manicotti from Dream Dinners and smoothies from Smoothie King. Needless to say, when seconds were requested, we felt wonderful!

Why not get your kids involved in learning about great nutrition early in their lives? Start them young and let them reap the benefits of healthy eating patterns. Children ten and older are welcome to assist you in your dinner preparations at Dream Dinners. If you know school children, seven or older, who can use a little training in nutrition or would like to have them learn about meal preparation contact us!

Time Magazine

Just a quick jot to let you know that Dream Dinners is being featured in Time Magazine this week in a great article! Here is a bit of the article written by Joel Stein:

"I'd have Dream Dinners' rich Steak Gorgonzola again, or that big, gloppy, messy, delicious dish of prunes, olives and capers they call Chicken Mirabella. The other nice thing was the price. I learned that you can clip as many coupons as you want, but you can never make a dinner as cheaply as these kitchens can."

By the way, that Steak Gorgonzola is available through the end of the month, so why not finish the article by clicking the link below and then scheduling your session? To sweeten the deal, take 10% off your order (minimum 36 servings), by calling us and mentioning you saw it in the blog. No other discounts apply.

Hello February!

Okay, time for the red hearts and stuff. You know, chocolate, flowers and the like. Yes, those things are lovely, but do you really want to know the way to your sweetheart's heart? Their little tummies are saying "FEED ME."

What better or easier way can you really get to their hearts than through a month of Dream Dinners fare? Our February menu is really fabulous and oh, by the way...we managed to have a lot of healthy stuff in there. We made the Mediterranean Fish Bake, the Chocolate Raspberry Torte and the Cantonese Pork Chops. WOW! These are fabulous and good for you. You can't go wrong with these choices. We couldn't resist the charms of the Creamy Risotto and Chicken, which contains buttery rice, chicken, bacon and veggies, laced with creamy Alfredo sauce and Parmesan cheese. Elegant, easy and wonderful. We can hardly wait to try the other dishes new to the Dream Dinners menu this month: Southern Living Herbed Chicken & White Beans, and Tuscan Steak...a blend of herbs, balsamic vinegar and sun-dried tomato pesto on top of melt-in-your mouth steaks. We have some of our old favorites back...Honey and Herb Grilled Chicken Breasts, Pecan Crusted Chicken and the Caribbean Pork Roast with Honey-Mustard Sauce for a taste of the tropics. Pictured above is our Pesto Cheese Ravioli with Chicken and Walnuts.

Have you received your copy of our February Newsletter? If not, why not take this time to send an email requesting a copy? It's a colorful and informative way to find out what's going on at our store.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2008, a year of new beginnings. We are looking forward to seeing you in the store and as we've been explaining, our menus reflect a change in direction. This month we are focusing on Light and Lean menu items with a few old favorites thrown in. body + soul's food staff and Dream Dinners have teamed up again to present you with a great light and tasty dinner, body + soul Grapefruit Shrimp, a fabulous dish with accents of soy sauce, ginger and apricots. This is a wonderful combination that is sure to please your waistline. Speaking of waistlines, we've mentioned that our guests are shrinking and so are we. I've lost thirty pounds eating the Dream Dinners way: three Dream Dinners a week. We've found that eating great tasting food doesn't mean eating fattening food. Our dinners use lean cuts of meat, low or no-fat ingredients and portion control. It's not magic, but it will seem like it is! For less than two hours of your time a month, you can assemble 12 dinners to feed yourself or your family. Also on the menu this month are Dijon Honey-Lime Salmon, hearty Beef Stew, Tomatoes and Rosemary with Egg Noodles, or how about a taste of the islands with a delightful Caribbean Pork Roast with Honey-Mustard Sauce or a host of other dinners? There are 16, plus Luscious Lemon Bars, already preassembled and Side Dishes. Make your appointment to come in this month and bring a friend. We promise you will not be disappointed!
